Great stay. Clean and spacious room with a tea and coffee little corner. Nice breakfast with a big food selection. Value for money.
Very helpful staff.  The hotel manager Tina, is the right person in the right position. Highly recommended 👍🏻

5* stay 👍🏻

Solid 4 - would be 5 but was a little noisy in the morning and the bed was quite hard. Good location. Nice and clean. Hot water. Nice staff so would recommend. We have stayed a few times now . Good value and breakfast wasn’t bad either. Nice fresh water on reception was a nice addition

Not bad

This was perfect for an overnight stay with my friend as we were going to Abba Voyage. Location was perfect- very nice safe, attractive street; a few minutes from Liverpool St station and lively Eataly; a quick walk to Spitalfields Market and also 120 Fenchurch St Garden. I’d booked a double room but the lady on reception asked if we’d prefer an available family room so my friend and I could have separate beds- which was ideal. Would definitely stay here again and it is in a really good location. Also we dropped our bags off at 10am before we could get into our room, which was very helpful.

Well located for Liverpool Street Station. 
Welcoming and friendly reception team. 
Clean. 
I couldn’t recommend for longer than a 1-2 night stay as I found the mattress and pillows exceptionally hard. 
Overall it was ok. 

Adequate City Hotel

Stay was very good, staff friendly and polite.  Room and food very good and great value.  Only downside lift not working when we arrived and STILL not fixed the next day.  This was a real pain having to carry luggage up and down the stairs.  Inconvenient and very poor service in that respect

Chelsea Flower Show

This is a real find, despite being near busy Liverpool Street this is a quiet and relaxing place. The staff here are very friendly, thankyou Mohammed on reception for a professional welcome and making it a great introduction.I will definitely stay here again..

A gem of a Travelodge

Kelly at reception gave the best customer service, she was warm and helpful and made me feel right at home

Great customer service

The hotel is centrally located, close to the business area and restaurants. A good location to stay on the way to Stansted Airport. I appreciated the service I got at the reception, water, tea, additional towel… and also recommendations. Thank you, Kelly :-)

Practical place to stay

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The lifts did not work for our three day stay.  I am not convinced they we were working before we arrived and they probably are still broken.  It was shameful that they did not try and sort this out in a speedy manner. I witnessed elderly people carrying heavy bags up several flights of stairs, obviously helping whenever I saw this. One lady looked in a bad way and couldn’t make the stairs.  Travelodge knew this was an issue over several days, did they get anyone in to help? No!  One lift in the entire hotel, this is so bad.  I have read back through the reviews and this seems to be a regular thing, either that or they have been broken for months. AVOID IF YOU RELY ON LIFTS AND CANNOT CLIMB A FLIGHT OF STAIRS CARRYING BAGS. 

Our bathroom stank of pee from the moment we came in and it lingered the whole stay. Our room wasn’t serviced, no beds made, no towel’s replaced, I can only assume the cleaners couldn’t carry their trolleys up several flights of stairs.  Really just an awful place, I would rather take a tent and pitch up somewhere more scenic and pee in a bush.

Nothing positive about our stay

When we checked in the person on reception (Kelly) told that the lift was not working and our room was on the third floor. Without us saying a word, she offered us a choice of complimentary drinks or breakfasts to compensate for the inconvenience.

Later that evening we got back to the hotel and when we got to our room, neither of our keycards would unlock the door to our room. This meant trip from the third floor to reception (and back) to sort it out. I told Kelly what had happened and she sorted it out straightaway and offered complimentary drinks as goodwill for the inconvenience. Honestly, I was just pleased that she sorted it out.

What struck me about Kelly, was not the complimentary items that she gave us for the inconveniences we had incurred, but that she genuinely cared and wanted to help.

The hotel is in a great location, quiet and only a short tube ride away from the West End and all it has to offer. The only thing that let it down and actually spoiled our stay, were the curtains letting in daylight (see photo) at around 05:30 in the morning and waking us up. It was then too light in the room and I couldn’t get back to sleep.
