This was a gem of a place. The staff are very friendly and the service is top notch. The food is amazing and the rooms comfy. Very near a tube station so location isn’t an issue. The breakfast is the best I have tasted.  Very impressive and I would defo come back.

Great stay.

The worst place I have stayed in within the UK.  The room was dimly lit and I almost tripped upon entering.  The mattress is way past its end of life date and provided little support.  The staff had to stand on it to replace the light bulb and it was like jumping on a trampoline.  Housekeeping is very sloppy - there were pieces of flaked off skin on the bed and bedsheet was not tucked in properly on Day 2 after 'cleaning'.   There was an unpleasant odour in the room. The bathroom sink is too narrow and water splashes everywhere when you turn on the tap.  Management did not bother to fix the wobbly toilet paper holder and the toilet roll kept threatening to fall off.  When I complained to the staff, I was told I was free to move out.  It is a stupid response considering I had already paid in full.  Good luck to you if you are on the top floor - many flights of stairs to climb. 

Sloppy maintenance and housekeeping - avoid!

The room I had  (number 8 ) at William IV's Guest House was perfect with generous floorspace, big comfy bed and a great shower room. I also ate in the pub and really enjoyed their chicken dish of the day. The staff were helpful and friendly even though I arrived close to closing time. I liked it so much, I stayed a second night. I was very sad not to be able to have breakfast on my last morning as I had to leave very early. I wanted a repeat of the granola with yogurt and fruit compote. Yummy!

Great accommodation for single guest

It's a picturesque but very cozy hotel. It's on top of a pub, but there was no noise. I didn't have breakfast, but we had a coffee voucher that was a pleasant surprise.

Extended weekend

It's a real petty old London house turned hotel with a spacious carpeted room all over the house, a top-rated home with breakfast included, and they serve Lee's best fish and chips I've ever eaten, 10 minutes from the overground.

what to do

We've been here for two days to visit our daughter who's studying in London, a quiet location well served by public transport and convenient to visit the city from Notting Hill, top breakfast in a typical pub, very friendly and attentive staff.

Value for money

Excellent accommodation. Stylishly furnished hotel. Large and very clean rooms. Warm and cozy atmosphere. Available and excellent staff. Great breakfast. Well connected to buses and subway and city centre. Good value for money.

It's excellent.

This is the second time I have stayed here at this hotel and I am again very pleased with my stay, the breakfast on my first day was delicious,cooked to order. 
My room was good, nice hot shower and comfortable bed.
I did not have the opportunity to eat in the pub, however it did look inviting.
The guesthouse is also very convenient for Kensal Rise, and all its amenities.
Will be back.

Christmas Visit

My wife and I were there at the beginning of December and we were very pleased.The staff were very kind to us, the place is quiet, with a pub under which you can hear absolutely nothing, it is clean and the decoration of the entire hotel is very nice.The breakfast is spectacular, there are several types.We will definitely go back to try the dinners that we did not have time for but that also had a very good look.The area is worth visiting because it has a lot of history.

Hotel with charm and tranquility, ideal for disconnecting.

We spent 3 nights here whilst visiting some London events.  The location is reasonable for accessing central London and is only a short walk from the nearest tube station. It was also surprisingly quiet at night with little or no traffic noise to disturb sleep.

The room was a fair size and was clean and comfortable with a great shower.  The evening meals we tried were great, good quality and generous quantities although the menu choice was quite limited.  Breakfast choice and quality were excellent.

The staff were all really friendly and helpful and we would definitely recommend the William IV.
