We stayed for the Santiago road in a room of six for five of us. Very simple communication, exquisite staffing, very clean facilities, good atmosphere and good common facilities (washing machines, kitchens, dining room)

Perfect Perfect

The hotel is close to Ondarreta beach but far from the old part of San sebastian, the hotel's food is very bad.

There is no Volveria.

This is perfect accommodation on the Camino hike.  On arrival from Irun I treated myself to a sizeable lunch in San Sebastian and continued walking to La Sirena for the night.  It was a good choice...clean, good cooking facilities, close to shops and the beach.  My room had three bunks beds and just three hikers. it also had a restful balcony.  Owner was very helpful.  It's a well maintained hostel and 100 mtrs from the start of day 2.  

Highly recommended.

Great Option in San Sebastian

The experience for a large group like us was good in general, the problem was the food, they said it was in concert with an outside company and it was terrible, the quality and overall not reaching the minimum requirement for a hostel, nor did they know how to react, and we even left everything paid for for more than 20 people and in the last few days we did not eat or dine there.

Good place and bad food.

The hostel itself is one of the most mediocre, but if we talk about meals it's the worst you can find....I don't understand how healthcare doesn't get involved in these kinds of establishments, a soccer team with diarrhea, bad food and everything and complaining repeatedly they haven't given any solution, I'm aware that another team that was there has had the same thing happen to them...Ladies who are playing with the health of minors.

A hotel or no noise is not tolerated by pablo (the guy at the reception) pablo is watching you all day long with his cams tah r6. then the food is worse than in an airplane ever seen this. however they innovate again the dish that came of their imagination (soup with balls or sandwich has Macedonian and tuna) to finish level cleanliness is not luxury we infiltrated the kitchen and noticed a lot of dirt that deducts the taste of food. and don't try to drink the water from the rooms because Hugo had the tourista.

The hotel is a bit spacious, it can be reached by bus as it is a bit out of reach. The common areas were not very clean but in return the beds were very comfortable and new. The staff are very kind and the price definitely makes it unbeatable.

Although the hostel is well located and seems to be clean, except for the bathrooms that don't have a pleasant smell. I had a scary experience in this hostel, when I woke up I had huge body bites that scratched and were painful. I developed an allergic reaction that forced me to take a corticosteroid and antihistamine due to the bites of a bedbug known as bedbug. The hostel urgently needs a fingerprinting!

A few months ago, my wife was diagnosed with fibromyalgia.By then, we had already had the trip to the Basque Country organized and paid for, so we decided to take it easy and make the trip to our first destination: San Sebastián.We arrived at about 17:00 at the Juvenil Ondarreta La Sirena hostel.Due to the many hours of travel and the considerable level of unrest on the ground (many ups and downs), my wife suffered a severe pain outbreak that forced us to march again within a few hours of entering.This opinion is addressed to the staff who work there: Thank you very much. Not only did they help us in everything they could, but they reimbursed me 100% of the stay for the entire weekend.In this week of work: I doubt they have a good opportunity to return to the hotel room, but we could easily adapt to the room, but the room was very small, and very comfortable.

I booked four nights:

The staff at reception were very friendly. The location is not ideal (far from the center) but there is a good bus connection.

The rooms were dirty...
You get 1 sheet to sleep under or above...and an old blanket.
So I went to ask for a second sheet, they gave me one (friendly reception). 
The bathroom had mold on the ceiling and a lot of hairs, full trash, no lock on the toilet..  

I booked with breakfast but when I arrived reception said it's served between 8 and 9... OK fine for me -  but it happened twice that I was there before 9 and they were already cleaning everything up... No breakfast for me. Then I noticed their clock was ten minutes forwarded.
Breakfast is also very basic...

Everyday you have to go out of your room from 10 - 14 so they can clean the room. 
Cleaning was also basic.. Sometimes I noticed the same dirt, when I came back in the evening. 

Normally, I like hanging around in my hostel but now I didn't like being there. There was no coziness at all.
