Very well situated, we spent three nights this week, it is fine and I recommend it to everyone who is in Madrid, very attentive and who carries the Hostal a very kind and pleasant boy, I will return when I am in Madrid.

The room when we entered looked like the cave of ali baba was small, there were three of us, the mattresses were the years of the building the bathroom was uninsulated so you kept the Madrid cold when you were using it, the only thing in favor is that you are in the center of madrid. i'm sure there are better pensions than this. i think it's not a hostel but rather a boarding house and a bad one.

The Pension is NOT HOSTAL for sleeping at most 2 nights, very old and unstable.

Totally central, two steps from the metro and a 10-minute walk from Gran Via. The room is small, but enough if you just want to go to sleep. Everything is very clean. Affordable in terms of quality/price, it was the cheapest thing we found available and we would definitely return. Ideal for anyone looking to visit the centre of Madrid and have a clean and decent bed nearby.

It's a lovely place to visit.

I stayed in at least 15 hostales in the area. This one is by the worst. Paper-thin walls and plywood doors mean that you will hear each single move, snore, moan out of 20 rooms. As a professional air quality auditor I carry my instruments. The carbon dioxide level reach dangerous to your health 1700-2000 ppm within an hour in the room. Guaranteed sleepless night or a massive headache in the morning  No fresh air coming in at all. Fan in the room is not working, bathroom extractor makes noise, but does not extract. The requirement is for  minimum 8 l/sec of fresh air per person with less than 0.5 l/sec measured. 
Not a single sprinkler, smoke detector of fire extinguisher is in the room. And hardly any in the corridor. Definitely not sufficient for safe evacuation of tens of people from the 5-story wooden building with wooden staircase. Now you might work out why it’s cheaper - in any other developed country the owners will be in jail for such a disregard to safety and comfort.  

Noisy, uncomfortable and unsafe

Given that it's a hostel it's great, we stayed in a wedding room, everything was super clean, the bathroom looked pretty new as well. The room has air conditioning and ventilator. I was expecting much worse because of the photos that some users have hung here, but I don't understand what angle they picked that anything to see, we touched the first room in the hostel and there are pictures hanging here of that room, honestly that's what scared me the most in the photo and when I arrived the surprise was grateful to see that it wasn't because of something so patriotic or anything like that.

 Genial ratio quality price

Unhealthy, dirty, dangerous. We had a lot of bed bug bites after a night in this establishment. So we decided not to continue our stay and are currently in a fight to get a refund. Besides, the photo was false (very small TV, dirty beds, no balcony, bed bugs...). So we turned on the fan that almost fell on us because it's outdated, like almost all the equipment. Finally, the smell at the entrance to the room was very unpleasant. So we don't recommend this establishment and invite you to choose another one in this neighborhood.

The room was so small (double) that there was no table at night. I couldn't read because of the poor lighting, besides there was no chair to sit on, just a chair, a very small TV, high and poorly located, in the bathroom no podiums or secrete, you had to go out into the hallway to do it, the shower was not possible either, the water came out and inflated the door as we could already see.

It's a small, small, expensive and poorly attended business.

The best thing about the hostel is the location in the center of Madrid next to the subway station.The room had quite a few shortcomings: few plugs and in poor condition, plus some defects in doors and walls.It was clean but improving as there was some dust on the tables.The bathroom was clean and well equipped.The shower was good and mattress and cushions comfortable.

It's well situated but can be improved.

The hotel is just a few steps from the main road, so it's very central. A few minutes away there's the subway, it's perfect for those who want to visit this beautiful city. The rooms are clean, great for those who don't have big expectations. The possibility of autonomy, the staff is courteous. I stayed here with my husband and I have to say we found each other well. I recommend it.

Good location.

The only big problem with this hotel was that the WIFI didn't work well, the internet didn't work well for all three days we were there, and obviously when you don't want to spend your own data is a problem, partly because the room looked clean and the staff was friendly, very well located but somewhat creepy compared to the hostel downstairs.
