Wonderful 13th-century house and surroundings. with Esther, a very interesting person, as at home. Don't forget the spectacular breakfast. The details of good taste, impeccable. We hope to return soon.

The best of summer.

I've been to Sosola during a business trip, first time just because other, more standards accommodation, were not available. It has been a surprise and from that time I've always been there. The place is just 5 minutes away from center along one of the steepest road never seen. But when you get it it's great, owner is great and nice, rooms are large and comfortable and you can see in a deep silence. Breakfast is full of homemade delicatessen. You can use this place as the headquarters for a visit to Pais Vasco....strongly recommended.

Nice Place, relaxing and quite

We went to Eibar to witness the first day of the Eibar Huesca League, all the complications of finding accommodation in these August days the lady of the house Esther is concerned about giving us her hospitality, the beautiful and well-preserved house of the XII century, with the room that lacked no details, beautiful views of the valley and the city of Eibar, a quiet place in the mountains I recommend to all who visit the Euskadi for being located in the middle of the Bilbao hill, Donosti y Gasteiz Thank you Esther for everything Ah the lunch of category 10 Good ecological products prepared by the Apa Apa family Agur.

Everything summed up in one word: EXCELENCE.

The house is retrieved from Éibar on the top of the mountain. It has a view of 10. If you breathe calm, calm. The owner, Esther, was nice to us at all times, waiting to know if we wanted information about visits, places to dine or eat,.... everything was great. By putting a stick I would say that dinner could be given in the house, as it is away from Éibar and if you have been all day on tour you may not feel like going down, Recommended 100%

Spectacular.

The house is a true old wonder, cozy and very well taken care of. The room is also, although it has a curtainless window that doesn't bother you with your morning rest if you prefer darkness. The place is divine, with the mountain, its valley, the sheep... We highlight the breakfast. It is complete, homemade bread and biscuits, organic cheese made by the owners, fresh orange juice, coffee with milk.. yogurt.. truly fantastic. The only thing that makes our stay not round is the controlling and intrusive character of the two. On the one hand, we explain everything, but we keep telling you that a woman who wants to serve you must be able to see Esther without her being able to move you.

The place is wonderful but Esther is sober and intense.

The accommodation is very cozy and the rooms are spacious, clean, warm and very beautiful. Esther, the owner, is a charmer. Very attentive, detailed and friendly. The breakfast is rich, with pan y biscocho caseros among other things. Everything very ecological! The bad luck is that I was not able to enjoy the terrace and the surroundings in the rain...the next one. 100% recommended.

It's rainy but welcoming.

This is the best accommodation I have stayed in in the last few years. It is a little out of the way from Éibar and has spectacular views. It does not have many rooms so the treatment given to us by Esther, the owner, was very familiar and we were delighted. The house is charming and is a good place to visit the Basque Country as Éibar is equidistant from Bilbao, San Sebastián and Vitoria. It is true that to get up to the house from Éibar you have to take about a mile of narrow mountain road with steep slopes, but it is worth it for the views it has.

Couple visit to Euskadi in August.

It took us a while to get to Sosola as our sat nav had trouble finding it. Be warned that there is a very steep hill up to the property, not for the faint hearted. We have a four wheel drive which got us up the hill pretty easily but maybe other cars would struggle.
Our host Ester was lovely, even though there was the language barrier we did our best to communicate.
We arrived in the afternoon and because we decided that we didn't want to tackle the road again we stayed in that evening, we had a picnic with us. If you choose to sit outside you will need insect repellent.
Our room was small but clean and with a very comfortable bed, there is a distinct lack of soundproofing though and we could hear the guests above us and in the room next door.
Breakfast was really nice and plentiful with both hot and cold food on offer.

What A Beautiful Building.

We booked through Booking.com. In the description it did not say that the 1 km access road was so steep. It was very difficult to find and on the edge of the ugliest town I have ever seen. No holiday feel at all. After asking directions a few times we got to the access road , which was so steep that our car started to smell. I do not know how other guests could have driven up that hill (maybe they had a 4x4?). Walking up the hill was not option either. I called the owner and even though I only speak a few words of Spanish I could hear she was annoyed.
Later I asked booking.com to call her and then she said she had offered to pick us up.
If she did,(which I doubt) I could not understand that. Apart from that there was nowhere to park the car in the town...
She charged the full price of €100, although we did not stay there. : ( 
Not recommended.

extremely steep access road

The farmhouse now B &B dates back to the 12th century. Our hostess Esther's family has been connected to the property for years.
The rooms are filled with antiques, have timbered ceilings yet modern bathrooms.
The tiny narrow road leading up to it is a bit scary the first time, but we managed it better the second time, even in the dark!
We watched them bring their sheep up the hill for the night, with the working border collie!
