Excellent surf school and great accommodation. Really went out of their way to look after me and help with surfing faults. The videos help you understand how the wrong technique is holding you back. Chilled little village, all good value. Loads of attention given to intermediates (as good as private lessons while I was there), and I witnessed the beginners progressing very fast. Everything in the village is within walking distance, and if you choose to rent a board and go off on your own you can walk to a decent spot on the beach within 10 minutes. 

Excellent school, would return

Once again I've had the time of my life with Red Star. In the past 4 times I've been the wind was always fairly or very strong. This time it was the perfect time to learn more about how to catch a nice green wave, paddle out, watch and read the ocean while sitting on the board. I very much appreciate all the knowledge Gerry had shared with us.
Suny & Javier were friendly as always and very helpful when I need some assistance rearranging lessons.
Can't wait to return in November.

Our expierence in Red Star Surf Center was wonderfull. The teachers are very competent and I felt always save to leave my son ( 12 years) alone with them.
To me it felt like a big family. Even in the shop, where they have so nice things to buy you get discount when you book a course. 
The accomodation was having everything you need. On the pictures our room was looking small, but when we enter the house we where suprised how beautiful and clean the house is. Maria is the cleaning queen of the house and she does her job with a lot of love for the details. 
If you forgott your suncreme, dont worry even this they have in the accomodation. The whole Red Star surf community is open and helpfull and have a open ear for every thing you need. You will have a wunderful time there.

I was so happy to be back to Red Star where all the surf instructors, Mariano, Gerry, Garoto, Maui and the rest of the instructors (I must ask how to spell everyone's name correctly) are the best if you want to learn to surf. 
Behind the scene, Maria, Olga, Andrey, Diego, Mike and the rest of the crew are amazing too! Accommodating, flexible, keeping the surf houses clean and making sure that everyone is having the best time!
This was the third time for me with this awesome team and I'll be back in March!

Always amazing to be back

My partner and I took the course for three days. We had a great time and learned a lot. The teachers are very motivated, very open and friendly. The four hours of the course fly by and at the end of the evening we were tired but very happy.

Very professional with my daughter of 11 years old .
Lesson available in italian language. Quite important for children that not are confident with the english language.

The team is great. They truly put an effort to make you happy both for the surf lessons and the accommodation! 
The location is great, just a step away from the surf beach.
The apartments are also very new and clean.
I definitely recommend it for a holiday!

Great stay

I booked both accommodation and surfing lessons. The surf school was great, the teachers were great and it was a lot of fun. I was at the Casa del Mar accommodation. It was clean and the other residents were also totally nice. Also perfect for solo travellers, since you make quick contacts, both at the surfing lessons and at the hostel. I'll definitely be back!

Lanzarote in November is spectacular. I spent two and a half days with the Red Star Surf School to learn the basics and experience the feeling of surfing on the beautiful beach of Famara.
