We stayed for two weeks in the satellite observatory before going to work, and during this difficult period, the hotel was pleased: the food was excellent, the staff was friendly, and they helped out as much as they could.

The Observation

The room is small, but very clean and cozy, plus the window overlooking the city is large, so there's no feeling of closeness. In the room is a table chair, a bed, a TV with a stand, a closet with hangers. The bathroom and the toilet on the floor are all clean, never occupied. On the floors there are refrigerators, loungers, flat rooms.

It's a great hotel.

Overall, it's a good hotel, if you don't have a big budget, then it's perfectly normal, rooms are big (a little tired from the guests) I had a room with a bathroom! Very warm, with a big bed, a comfortable mattress!!! Here with the restaurant everything is sad... the quality of the dishes and the service is crumbling very... if you're not afraid, come, by the way, there's a park not far away, but that's another story.)

The business

This hotel was chosen by my family. We stayed here for 3 nights. It's centrally located near museums, road transport, shopping centers. They also provided a cot for our 21 months old son. We stayed in an apartment room with a small kitchen. It had a minibar, microwave oven, kettle, cutlery, crockery and a few cooking utensils. For long stays this room is a must. The bathroom has the normal toiletries and towels. The room was clean. Breakfast was included in our room tariff. Breakfast provided was not a lavish spread but a few dishes. What we loved was that we got to taste Russian breakfast cuisine. A lovely elderly lady serves you hot meals over the small kitchen counter. The restaurant is small and gives a nice cozy feeling. English is not widely spoken but Google translate really came in-handy at the Front Desk. However, there is one lady receptionist who spoke English. The hotel also helps in providing transport for sightseeing or a drop to the airport. We were happy with the stay and if I visit Tomsk again, this hotel would be on the top of my list.

Budget hotel accommodation, centrally located,

I had to settle down urgently. There was no time to look for a nearby hotel. Typically a Soviet hotel, which has survived since that time. A small room is a table, a bed cabinet, a TV. A sanctuary in the corridor, common. True, and the price for all this is symbolic - 900 rubles.

As an option.

I had a very nice room on the eighth floor with a balcony (I think all the rooms have a balcony), a huge bathroom, refrigerator, boiler and dishes, cutlery, etc. in the closet. The furniture was new. I felt very comfortable in the room. The reception was very friendly and competent. There was a free city plan. Breakfast was not convincing, but you can eat somewhere else if you want. Unfortunately, the WiFi often broke down. I would like to live here again. Central, clean and generous, reasonable price.

Affordable hotel with central balcony rooms

I recently stayed in Hotel Sputnik while visiting Tomsk for the weekend. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a room because I was already paying for an Air BnB in Novosibirsk. I opted for Hotel Sputnik because it was close to the attractions I wanted to see (namely the NKVD museum) and it was only $15/night for a room with a twin bed. The room was, of course, a budget room with a shared bathroom and very modest accommodations. As expected, there were no amenities but they did provide two towels. The room was very clean and the hotel well situated - exactly what I wanted. I speak only a little Russian but there was no issue checking in and the woman who checked me out of the room spoke English. I was very pleased with the accommodations for the price and would definitely stay there again!

Basic hotel close to city center

The room was small, the bed, the closet, the table with the chair, the mirror, the TV on the broken stool. This was enough to stay overnight, not paying attention to the degree of comfort. The shower and toilet were clean, the line did not occur, although the neighbouring rooms were inhabited. The surrounding sound of the TV, distributed through the wall - no sound insulation. After cleaning the room, no one had to change the tablecloth to the clean one, there was not enough trash on the main street (the accidental drop of a ticket from the bus) so I had to lie behind the tablecloth, so that you could walk in the other room with the light of the room, but the room was also located in the basement of the hotel.

It's a cheap place to stay.

We booked a double room for two nights (1600 rubles a night). This hotel meets all our criteria: price, cleanliness, privacy, location, quiet. The room was very clean, as well as the common bathroom on the ground floor. The hotel is quiet even in the evening. The ideal location, close to a park and the University. And the little cafe right across the street is a gem. We recommend.

Two days in Tomsk

I prefer this hotel to stay in two years running. Probably, I will be here the next year. The first reason why you can choose this hotel is its price. Secondly, it is located in the central part of the city. The service is fine, but the rooms are not great and the breakfast is poor. Still, it is ok if you are not planning to stay at the hotel all hours. I suppose, you will not find any better place for such money.
