A trivial petrol pump where you have to do everything yourself if you don't have the money you can't even go to the bathroom I say where are the services once and the gasoline and dear I hope you can improve because the consumer needs to be protected

Supply

Stayed in La Residence last week and found the rooms very comfortable and clean. The hotel is in the Shell office and provides great connectivity.

Food options for dinner are limited but not much to complain about.overall very happy and comfortable stay.

Comfortable and clean

I was tempted to say that Shell should stick to core business and stay away from running hotels after the trip to Aberdeen but I was pleasantly surprised at La residence. It meets my expectations for a 3-4 starred business hotel and it has the added benefit of roll out of bed and into meeting room option. Good place for short stay. Not sure if I would stay longer than 1 week. And did I mention not to forget to draw the curtains? Don’t give your colleagues a heart attack.

The hotel is connected to the Shell building, so if there is bad weather, it is very easy to get to and from the office. The rooms are small, but everything is very clean and the staff are well trained. They are also very helpful if you have questions, want to order food, need to change other travel arrangements etc. There isn't a restaurant onsite though, so you'd have to go elsewhere for food. If you're going to be here longer than a few days, I'd recommend trying a hotel in the city center so you have more options for food.

Good for short business stays

Shell shouldn’t be running a hotel as not its core business.  Room is decent with the following annoyances:

(1) No food in evenings or weekends.
(2) If you are locked out from the room after 6pm, security can unlock your room but card key can only be reset or reissued next work day.
(3) Crappy front desk by hotel standards.

In sum, Shell is better off converting these real estate to full functional gym with proper sports facilities or daycare facilities to support its staffs in the name of Health and Sustainable Development.

Hotel is run by inexperienced owner

Meetings at Shell? Then this makes sense. Rooms are small but comfortable, there's a minibar, an iron, a safe, etc - all the things you'd expect. The gym (and at the moment the hair salon) are close nearby, and the checking in and out process was no worse than at any other hotel.

Access to food is a bit lacking, but then if you've been in the office all day it's no bad thing to take the short walk to Javastraat, Denneweg or Nord Einde where there are plenty of restaurants and bars.

In summary, I hadn't stayed here before and I'd heard plenty of complaints, but I would happily stay here again in the future.
