Spent one night at the Prikkels, mixed reaction to our stay. 

Positive side was staff very nice, friendly and helpful. Location was great in the center of the town, room size was good and clean. 

On the negative side, when we booked a room which was on the top floor there was no warning that they don’t have a lift and the stairs are very steep and narrow, very dangerous for people with suitcases like us or elderly, sadly not a mention. 

Second was the heating system, that night it kept switching off, I ended up waking up several times to reset it but the temp never went above 15c and so we ended sleeping in our jackets as at night no staff are available at all. 

So sadly that made our stay very dissatisfying. 

One night visit 

Very friendly place, large room with a nice view. Free Wi-Fi, at a great location between the centre of Nijmegen and Kronenburg park. We would definitely stay here again. There`s a nice lunchroom downstairs.

For work I needed to be in Nijmegen. Booked a room @ Prikkels. Located in the city centre. There are nice lunchrooms and coffeeplaces nearby. I had a nice diner at Prikkels. They serve delicious soups. The room was spacious, nice view of the church. There was a nice bad. Room was clean. Loved the place and location. Would come back next time. Great value for money.

One night Nijmegen. 

A hotel in an excellent location, design rooms, very comfortable. The price is the always available staff, friendly and friendly. Special mention to espresso coffee. Only small neo that gives charm: the stairs (not suitable for families with small children as steep). We will return.

That's nice.

I stayed at the Prikkels in Nijmegen from 20 to 21 August to make an appointment at the nearby Kleve. The reception at the café was very friendly and uncomplicated. Otherwise everything was perfectly fine, I would stay here again anytime.

A Night on the Road

We stayed 3 nights here In April.
Great breakfast in the queen room.
It was a two level room with a balcony out back.
It was quiet, with a great location in the historic part of town.
We loved it and would stay again!!!
If there is anything to say is the stairs are something to be aware of!!!
We are a couple in our early 40’s and I don’t know if we could do them in our 50’s!!

Friendly quirky hotel

The entrance to the hotel is somewhat confusing since it is a restaurant. The reception is very friendly, the rooms are very large, one of them even has a large terrace. The original decoration is made up of rather heterogeneous objects. The breakfast is not a buffet but is copious and very good with a real orange juice. In short, this hotel has many advantages. The most important is its location: a reasonable walking distance from the train station, and in the center, two steps from the city hall and the St. Etienne church. However, to discourage people with difficulties in getting to the hotel with suitcases is particularly advisable.

Very well located

I loved the hotel and the location. you check in at the restaurant but then you have a back door so you can enter and exit whenever you want. very well organized. we stayed in a room with a large terrace. no I have no complaints. if the stairs are very steep, but that's normal in the Netherlands.

Perfect Perfect

Fantastic small hotel, a few rooms in a lunchroom. The friendliest people you can imagine, and a superb delicious breakfast.
Within 100 meters from the Wall river, right in the city centre.
Parking lot a few hundred meters away, train station a 1 km.

It could not be better

We stopped here after lunch at blonde patir which is just opposite. We didn't use the hotel but the inside bit behind the ice cream parlour looked really appealing and trendy. The kids loved the ice cream and there was lots of choice of flavours. There were a few little kids chairs and some toys outside which was a nice touch and gave us a great photo opportunity with our children. Highly recommended.
