This hostel is in an excellent location in the city from which all the main attractions can be reached on foot. The reception is active 24:7, there is a free luggage storage and virtually all the rooms have a private bathroom (which is not uncommon for a hostel).

No claims

I really liked this hostel and its a great location for exploring the city. For the same price as I've paid for shared dorms in other European cities I got a private room which was really large. There was a lot of furniture which seemed a bit unnecessary tbh but would be nice if you were staying for a longer time. I moved the bed into the middle of the two windows because I didn't like to be right under a window that had no proper curtain when there was a building so close opposite. The bathroom was shared between just me and one other room, and it was clean and spacious. I felt safe and secure thanks to having a key not just to my room but a second key to a door which opened into the corridor with the two rooms and the bathroom. My complaints were that is was so hot. So so hot. I didn't even use the sheet they provide. There was a plug in fan which helped but the room could have done with air con. Second complaint is the wifi was terrible. None in the rooms, and down in the common room it was still really bad. I tried to download an app but it said it was going to take 2 hours :o One thing I found weird was there was no water in the kitchen, you have to wash up, fill up bottles etc in the sink which is also for the toilets. However the kitchen had a fridge freezer, microwave etc. Overall it's worth it for the price and a really great location. 

Good value but hot

We stayed in late July for 2 nights. The hostel is in a central location, great for wandering Venice on foot. The staff was very friendly and recommended things to do and see near the hostel. On our last day, we didn't need to be at the airport until around 5pm. Check out is at 10 but they allowed us to leave our bags at reception so we can have the day to walk around without having to carry our heavy packs with us all day. I gave an extra star just for that! There are some downsides. It gets very hot in Venice and does not cool off at night. The rooms have no A/C, just a fan that does nothing unless you sit directly in front of it. There are no screens on the windows so unless you don't mind offering yourself up to the mosquitoes, you have to shut them at night leaving it hot and muggy in the room. To help with the heat we would walk back to the hostel 2-3 times a day, take a very cold shower and sit in front of the fan which helped a ton. The wifi in the common room doesn't work whatsoever, we had to go get drinks/coffee at places with wifi to use it. Other than that, our rooms and bathroom were very clean. We would stay here again, but maybe not during the hot summer months.

+ Reception active 24 hours. + Location. + Quietness and silence. + Automatic distributor (paid) of water, snacks and coffee. - Very hot room, no air conditioning, only with a fan. - My room was on the ground floor, the two windows faced a space that anyone could access/watch.

Enough for those who have few demands

Me and my friend stayed here for four nights - The location is ideal, we did everything on foot. The staff in the hostel were very friendly and helpful for us English tourists. Downside would be we got very hot in the night and there was no air conditioning, just a fan that couldn't reach both our beds. The wifi isn't brilliant either, you have to go to the common room where it still is very slow. However overall I had a good stay, Venice is beautiful.

Good stay for a few nights

The staff seems made of volunteers or very young people. They did not speak Italian!:) and neither seem to have any knowledge about city and useful info for tourists but they were polite and informal, very easy going. They let us keep our luggage after check out, that was very nice :) The location is awesome. The room big and toilet shared only with one other room that was anyways :-)

only negative side: They made us wait to check in and did not seem to be doing anything by chatting for 10 minutes before they paid attention to us.

perfect location and big room

Large and clean rooms with the necessary furniture. Young staff and always available. Perfect location to reach all places of interest. Cozy common areas with cooking and refrigeration facilities. Unfortunately, wifi does not reach the rooms, but is only available in common areas. If you choose a room on the first floor there is some possibility of receiving the network comfortably from the bedroom bed. Recommended!

Friendly Hostel

I stayed here on the night of July 9th. Very central location and really low prices. 118€ in three. Compared to other hotels in the center we are already about 150-200€ less. Clean room, clean private bathroom and very kind reception boys and girls. During the year we have university students staying here while two summer months it serves as a hotel. Three picks: no breakfast, no air conditioning and wifi in the room and reception all three guys don't speak Italian.

That's great.

I was able to book a room in this hostel near my trip to Venice, when all the other hotels in the city had very high prices. The hostel in winter is a student residence; the staff is not qualified to work in the hotel industry, so you can't expect much from the service. The rooms are spacious and clean and the location in the city center is enviable.
