I've been traveling to Helgoland for a few years now to take a vacation. I think the Hotel Rock-Eck is very well situated. The rooms are spacious and are classically modern. The view from the balcony overwhelms the room once again, the sunrise is always beautiful, the view of the dunes is always worth seeing. Until now, the staff has always been very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, I can't be there 24/7, 365 days a year, but I'm happy every time I get to be there.

It's a very beautiful modern property with a sensational sea view from the terrace. It was super clean up to every inch of it.

That's great.

I try to come to Helgoland every year (if I could, I would be there 24/7). The hotel is simple set up but still comfortable modern. There is a water boiler to prepare coffee or tea, a refrigerator to deliver a refrigerator for e.g. cool drinks. W-Lan is available free of charge. There is also a TV in the room, but I have never used it which is just too beautiful. Sunrises are just as beautiful as watching ships. You can even admire the big ponds on the horizon in cold weather. So where is the TV? in bad weather, although it's possible to splash it out and then watch the glacier. I'll come back with certainty!

I booked a room with sea view because of the view. It was only available as a double room, but it was worth the money. The air on Helgoland is gorgeous and the view of the harbour and the dunes was fantastic. I sat there for a long time at the open window and enjoyed the sea air and the view of the dunes. Something was confusing: Checkin was in the underground at a central registration, the hotel shared several hotels. The hotel was in the uplands, but that's where I went first. You should also read the e-mails that you get there, everything was inside. The bed was fine, which sometimes wasn't the case with hotels. I was happy as a sidekeeper about the extra lining.

Beautiful view of the dunes

The house is in a good position in the upper village with a nice view of the dunes. Our room ``Groenveld' on the upper floor has a large roof terrace. Clothing cabinet and other storage space are ok. Breakfast is not included in the room price incl., it can be taken for € 14,- p.p. in the lower village. WC and shower are separate, unfortunately the shower is very narrow. The sanitary objects work down considering a room price of € 189,-.

Unlike here, our room was newly renovated. There was enough room, big TV, fridge. We had rooms with a back view, so quiet. The negative is that the room doesn't get dark. Not good for sleeping in the summer. Here you should put dark rolls on. You can, I think, order a packed breakfast. Nearby there is the island baker. There are packed buns. They look good, taste like nothing. A bar offers several packed breakfast. Something expensive but there is coffee. Otherwise, there is only Café Crema on the island, o. I don't think it's tasty. You can count on it and you should probably buy a 12 carrot for the runner.

The rooms have definitely aged. Small rooms, assembled furniture, partially decorated. The only good thing is the terrace, from which you have a beautiful view. However, there are no separations from the neighbouring rooms on the terrace, so there is no privacy splash. The price-performance ratio is a crap! The view is really expensive. The breakfast booked for 9.00 euros that we were put in a bag in front of the room was rich. However, there was no plate, no bag, so eating the yogurt was impossible, so making the loaves with salad and cheeses was impossible.

Absolutely coming of age

No reception, no breakfast, no service. In this hotel, you get nothing but dirt, construction sites, building noise, urine smell and tiny rooms. The construction workers don't even wear a mouth guard. Compensation: 10€ a night. A joke. The rooms are tiny and those who don't stand on nicotine smell shouldn't open windows. At the bottom, there's always someone standing by the wall smoking. The bathroom smells of old urine and someone with lemon cleaners wanted to eliminate that smell. Whoever puts his vacation worthwhile here better not rent himself in the rocks.

Cave bad, DZ with sea view

So the price/performance is not even close. The room is very old and in a bad condition. The door is permanently slamming and is defective. Sleep was not really to be thought about and the damage was known because measures have already been taken. The rest of the room is just very old. Although it was once deleted, but some of the facilities are still from the 80s. The Internet has advertised with the modernized rooms. Of these there are only 2 pieces here. But for this you have free access to the electricity of the room.

Never again and not recommended

After 2017 we were in Helgoland for the second time, again at the Hotel Felsen-Eck. The baggage transfer from the faucet and the shower in the bathroom is included in the price, which makes the whole thing very pleasant. The rooms, well, have come in years, but as far as clean and practical. A refrigerator is available in the room. The beds, at least in our room, are very good for the standard, we also felt comfortable this year. From the faucet and the shower in the bathroom came (unfortunately) almost only very hot water, the shower and the handshake so an exciting adventure.
