The host and the place make you feel at home immediately. The apartment is spacious, nicely decorated, and well equipped. It is also remarkably quiet. The neighborhood has lots of cachet. It is not that far from the centre of town on foot, and even closer by tram.

A hidden gem

The location is perfect. Very central but in a quieter neighborhood three minutes from the center and the port. The apartment is very well equipped and placed with great taste. The owner is also very nice and gives you all kinds of information as soon as you arrive (even if you arrive before check-in time, including).

Located in Katajanokka, perhaps the most beautiful district of Helsinki, a clean and quiet residence, though sparse but where you can spend a pleasant holiday at an unbeatable price for Helsinki and where you were greeted upon arrival by the warmth of Mrs. Senia.

Good price and quality ratio

Stayed here for 5 days. The Lotsgatan location  is excellent - close to the port, the public sauna, tram (line 4), ferries and many cafes & restaurants. The apartment is modern, sunny with all the amenities (including washer + drying rack).  Professionally run.

I stayed four nights and just loved this apartment. It is situated in a beautiful neighbourhood, in an older style art deco building. But don't be frightened by the term older style; everything in the apartment works well, the kitchen is fully set up for sea catering (important in a place as expensive as Helsinki) and there is a lift, so no dragging heavy suitcases up flights of stairs. The apartment is within walking distance of the harbour front, a good supermarket, heaps of bars and restaurants and all the tourist operators. 

Communication with the host was excellent. I had no cause to contact her during my stay, but based on her welcome, I am sure there would not have been any problems. 

I really enjoyed my stay at Essexhome apartments.

Lovely apartment close to town, with all the comforts of home!

In June, very early in the morning, from the sunrise over the sea, to be able to retire to the exquisitely equipped apartment (even basic food is available) in the middle of the Helsinki city centre and to be surrounded by youth houses, the view of Finland's icebreaker fleet, the proximity of an excellent Nepalese restaurant and a convenience store, and to be greeted by a lovely hostess  the little one can't get up

Excellent, quiet apartment in the middle of the city centre.

The apartment is located in the neighbourhood - a quiet island, a few meters from the portico where the boats leave for Soumenlinna and the market and a short walk from the cathedrals and the shopping area.

It's perfect.

A large, perfectly furnished apartment (you could live in it all year round): kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, kitchen, all the necessary utensils; washing machine, extender, board and iron to be used again; large kitchen, large living room with 2 sofas. Very nice building. Perfect neighborhood for a stay in the city: close to everything, but quiet. My beams: decoration (some apartments look very nice, mine was in brown tones, I really didn't like it), the WiFi connection very weak and capricious, a smell in the kitchen that didn't make me want to cook.
